OPERATED VALVES

Maximum safety & efficiency

Our pressure-controlled valves, including controlled shut-off valves and positively controlled automatic control valves, ensure reliable protection against backflow. This ensures optimized flow control in pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Wide range of applications

Our shut-off valves, including special solutions such as the tap shut-off valve and the hot water shut-off valve, offer reliable protection against backflow. They ensure safe control of the water flow in water pipes, heating systems and industrial pneumatic applications.

Innovative technology & durability

With state-of-the-art technology, such as the sophisticated operation of controlled shut-off valves, and high-quality materials, we ensure that our valves are durable and low-maintenance. They can be perfectly adapted to your individual requirements.

Operated Valves

Increased productivity through durable and cost-effective solutions that enable precise process control.

What are operated valves?

Operated valves are valves that are characterized by the fact that they do not have to be controlled manually. In the ArmaSys product range, we offer you fully adjusted and set, controlled valves and controlled systems – according to customer specifications. If you cannot find what you are looking for in our product catalog, please contact us – we will work with you to develop individual solutions for your controlled systems and process engineering requirements.

In the following, we will take a closer look at the “shut-off valve/check valve” and “automatic control valve” valve types.

PRESSURE-CONTROLLED VALVES - CHECK VALVE / shut-off VALVE

Shut-off valves, which only allow one direction of flow, are an essential element of pressure-controlled valves. A shut-off valve prevents a medium from changing its flow direction or a backflow of the medium from occurring. The valve is open while a medium passes through the corresponding shut-off valve in the intended direction. If the (minimum) pressure of the medium flowing through decreases or threatens to change direction, the shut-off valve closes in a controlled manner. The opposite pole to the pressure, which keeps the valve closed, can be a tensioned spring or another counterweight. The shut-off valve is therefore a pressure-controlled valve.
Check valves can be found in heating and drinking water systems, for example, as well as in water pipes, where they are used as shut-off valves. A shut-off valve can also be used in combination with a tap to prevent unwanted backflow. A shut-off valve ensures safe separation of cold and hot water, particularly in the hot water sector.

Depending on the application and desired function, there are different versions of shut-off valves:

POSITIVELY CONTROLLED automatic control VALVES - ELECTRICALLY CONTROLLED VALVES

Electronically controlled valves also include positively controlled automatic control valves, which operate using a combination of electrical control and mechanical force. These valves are controlled via a solenoid coil, which can activate or open, hold or close the valve via current pulses. Automatic control valves can also be used to divert or mix media.
Automatic control valves are used in automatic locking systems, for example. Depending on the operating mode, you can choose between directly, indirectly or semi-directly actuated automatic control valves. The response time of small direct-acting automatic control valves is shorter than that of semi-direct or indirect-acting automatic control valves.

How do I choose the right controlled valve?

When selecting the type of valve, the material of the valve must be considered in relation to the medium flowing through it. Stainless steel, brass or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) are some of the materials available for shut-off valves.

The following factors should generally influence the choice of material:

  • Shut-off valve function and area of application
  • Temperatures and chemical properties of the flowing medium
  • Valve body in consideration of the factory environment
  • Required pressure resistance
